Areesha Hemani’s approach to law is fueled by a commitment to ensure that workers have a level playing field and are treated fairly. She honed her advocacy skills in a range of activities at Texas Tech University School of Law, where she was active on the mock trial team and a regional finalist in both the ABA Arbitration Competition and the Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
In addition, she earned numerous academic honors, awards, and scholarships and gained valuable experience through internships and work programs with the Regional Public Defender’s Office for Capital Cases in Lubbock and the Texas Workforce Commission, among others.
Areesha received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she competed in undergraduate mock trial competitions at a national level. She also served as a student reviewer for the Innocence Project at the University of Texas at Dallas. While in law school, Areesha worked as a law clerk at Jackson Spencer Law.
In her free time, Areesha enjoys painting, hiking, reading essay collections, and attending concerts.
